Looking for a university experience that connects study, city life and real-world opportunities? Studying at Edith Cowan University (ECU) City CampusĀ offers a unique ECU City Campus student lifeĀ experience in the heart of Perth CBD. With public transport, cafes, restaurants and city services nearby, the campus makes student life convenient, practical and connected to the future working environment.šø
ā Starting the Day
My day usually starts with buying a coffee before class. Coffee helps me feel less tired and more ready to focus on learning. Many students also buy coffee before class, so it becomes a good chance to chat with classmates about assignments, classes, work or daily life. This simple routine makes the morning feel more relaxed and social.
š Learning on Campus
When I arrive on campus, I can feel the strong study atmosphere. Students are preparing for classes, studying in different areas or working together in groups. Classes are rarely just about sitting and listening. Most of the time, we join discussions, group work or practical activities, which helps us apply ideas to real situations.
Another thing I like about ECU City Campus is the support available for students. The Student Hub provides a comfortable space where students can ask questions, take a break and feel supported. Sometimes there are free lunches, coffee and rest areas, which shows that ECU supports students beyond the classroom.
A special part of ECU City Campus is WAAPA, the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. WAAPA is ECUās well-known arts school, where students study music, dance, acting, performance and production. Since WAAPA has become part of the city campus environment, the campus feels more artistic and diverse. You may see students practising dance, rehearsing performances or playing music, which brings creative energy to campus.
š§āš¤āš§ Study and Social Life
Between classes, I usually stay on campus or go to the library with classmates to work on assignments. Because we study the same course content, there are many topics to discuss, such as assignment ideas, future jobs and career plans. For international students, this is also a good way to practise English and build confidence.
š Life in Perth CBD
One of the best things about studying at ECU City Campus is being part of Perth CBD. The campus connects students with city life. There are many cafes, restaurants, shops and transport options nearby. Being in the city also helps students experience what a real working environment may feel like in the future.
š My ECU City Campus Student Life Experience
Student life in Perth is not only about studying. Because the campus is in the CBD, students can take the free CAT bus to visit different places, or go to Kings Park to enjoy the view with friends. For me, studying at ECU City Campus is about building independence, meeting people, improving communication skills and preparing for the future.
