A Slice Of Easy Content Creation, Italian Style

Content creation with the slice of italy

At Digital Marketing Crew, we often hear small business owners say, “We don’t have time for content” or “We do not know where and how to start.” But creating an effective content doesn’t have to be expensive or time consuming.

One of our examples comes from Perth: Slice of Italy, an Italian café inside the ECU. Despite being a small operation, they’ve built a loyal local following by simply showing up with real, consistent content.

What They’re Doing Right

1. They Tell Their Story

Slice of Italy doesn’t just post food photos (though their pizzas and pastas are worth a look). They share snippets of their day—the chef plating up lunch, a student grabbing coffee between classes, or the team prepping for the afternoon rush. It’s authentic, and it feels like you’re part of their world.

Takeaway: Show your people, your process, and your passion. Authenticity builds trust.

2. They Know Their Audience

Located on a university campus, Slice of Italy leans into student life. They post about affordable lunch specials, tag ECU in their content, and engage with the uni crowd. It’s smart and hyper-targeted.

Takeaway: Speak directly to the people around you. Local and niche content can make the biggest impact.

3. They Keep It Simple (and Consistent)

Rather than trying to post everything, they focus on a few key themes: menu highlights, behind-the-scenes clips, staff shout-outs, and customer reviews. By sticking to these, they stay consistent without burning out.

Takeaway: Pick 3–5 content types you can rotate weekly. It saves time and keeps your feed fresh.

Why This Matters

Slice of Italy proves that even the smallest businesses can thrive online by being intentional with content. They’re not trying to go viral—they’re just connecting with their community, one post at a time.

And that’s exactly what we help our clients do at Digital Marketing Crew. Whether you're a café, a tradie, or a local retailer, content is how you stay top of mind in a digital world.
