Rising rent, unexpected bills and the unspoken pressure to keep it all together can make life quite exhausting. And when it starts to build up, it’s all too easy to feel like you’re in a rut, paralysed, not knowing where to start or who to ask for help. At The Spiers Centre in Heathridge, WA, we believe that the very first step to turning things around can be as simple as saying one word: Hello. 👋

Our campaign, “It Starts with Hello”, is about breaking through that invisible glass that can hold us back from asking for help. Because on the other side of that hello is a listening ear, support, and a sense of hope. Here’s why that one small word can lead to a big difference.

1. Hello Opens the Door to Support 🚪

A simple hello can be the first step to accessing financial counselling 💼, emergency relief 🥘, and practical solutions that help you feel more in control of your situation.

2. Hello Breaks the Stigma 🫂

Asking for help can sometimes feel hard — but saying hello reminds us that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

3. Hello Reminds You That You’re Not Alone 🤝
