In digital marketing, the most persuasive content often feels real, useful and easy to relate to. For ECU City Campus, student storytelling can be a strong way to promote the campus because it shows the experience through a real student’s daily routine, instead of only using formal advertising language.

As an international student studying Hospitality Management in the School of Business and Law, my day at ECU City Campus is not only about attending class. I usually catch the bus to campus, study in the library, relax in modern student spaces, and sometimes go to Northbridge for dinner or groceries after class. These everyday details help future students picture what studying in Perth CBD could actually feel like.

This type of content supports ECU’s digital marketing by using the Experience and Emotion elements of the 4E+ Framework. The experience comes from showing real campus life, including transport, study spaces, food and city convenience. The emotional side comes from personal details, such as enjoying the calm library atmosphere or feeling that the study areas with table lamps are almost like home.

Student storytelling also makes campus promotion feel more authentic. Instead of only saying that ECU City Campus is modern and convenient, a student voice can show how the campus connects study, lifestyle and Perth city life. This is especially useful for prospective and international students who may want to understand both the academic environment and the everyday lifestyle before choosing where to study.

City campus life is busy, but that is also part of the experience. Study, transport, food and Perth CBD all become part of one daily routine. For me, ECU City Campus shows how a real student story can become meaningful digital content.
