A Life of an international student at ECU City campus.

A little girl who started her journey from a very small town. Who always wondered how the outside world is like? What does it feel like studying in another country?  And look here I am studying at Edith Cowan University, which is one of Australia’s leading universities. I still find myself wondering how come I manage to reach here. Going to the ECU City campus always makes me excited. I feel like I am stepping into a completely different dimension whenever I go to the city campus.

My morning starts with a few minutes of meditation and gratitude words. After having breakfast, I go to the train station to catch the Byford line. Though I have a personal car, I prefer public transportation. Because I can see and observe how life is moving in Perth. After reaching the city campus, I will always stand still in front of the building to admire the campus. And it amazed me how people from different countries come together at the campus to study, it reminds me how versatile our Ecu is.

Our lecture is not just about theory, it's more about practical knowledge, where our professor brings real-life scenarios and discusses with everyone. Where everyone shares their idea openly. We connect the theory with real-life situations. Which will help to solve the real business problem one day. We also learn to use different tools.  In class, it never gets boring as I get to learn new things every day. I have a few friends who always help me with my studies.

After class: Midday

After class, I have my lunch and sit in the library where I can see the city view properly. I go through lecture slides and prepare personal notes. And start to make plans for the upcoming assignments. After the personal study session, I walk around the famous Yogan Square. It’s a privilege for Ecu city campus students. Whenever you step out of the campus, you’re stepping into the heart of Perth city where everything is happening. You will find all kinds of fancy restaurants and luxury brands there. Being an international student, it's not just studying – it’s about exploring, adapting, growing and making yourself strong for any situation. Every day brings new opportunities to learn and grow.

Returning home..

As the sun starts to set, I also get ready for my home. I walk slowly towards the train station, feeling the cool breeze of the city that washes away all the tiredness from my body and reflect on what I studied today and the people I met today.

I really like my life right now, it's not like the path is flowery it has stone along with it, but I am confident that I can overcome any obstacle in my path. The risk I took to study abroad was scary and uncertain, but it’s worth it. ECU turned that journey into one of the most rewarding journeys of my life.
