At Edith Cowan University’s City Campus, Perth CBD a typical day feels unique. They are an exciting merge of learning, city hustle and real-world
experiences that have helped to shape my vision of the future.

I typically begin my mornings with a coffee on my way to campus. This is about more than just routine. This is a moment to settle into the rhythm of the city before classes start. Also, that is impossible not to feel inspired in a skyline full of urban skylines, coffee shops and many people. When I arrive at ECU City Campus, the day takes on even greater excitement for me.
Lectures are live, hands-on, interactive and active. Also, based in action and based on actual business and industry scenarios, real-world situations rather than just theory. Furthermore, in areas such as digital marketing, we do case studies, interact with small groups and apply our learning and strategy to problem-solving in the real-world domain. This method adds value to all sessions and enables us for the business world.

Living and studying in the city is one of the most obvious aspects of the ECU experience. I often walk into the CBD between classes to find a quiet spot to study, meet my classmates or just reset at one of the local cafes or libraries. Everything else on campus is nearby and very convenient, so breaks can be refocused on reflection, resets and productivity times. Also, team-based activities and interactive assessments encourage us to connect, collaborate and take on different roles. Real-world jobs model these types of experiences so that we grow in confidence and leadership and we build skills not just in the classroom.

Every day here at ECU, I realise that studying at ECU is more than just academically for me. This is a personal development journey and a learning opportunity for personal growth. Living in Perth CBD and learning encourages you to be more independent, flexible, self-sufficient and organised. Moreover, you see that living in Perth CBD and learning helps you grow. All the hard work, studying and daily habits in this thriving city mold you right around you are beginning to be a good thing.

The ultimate thing that stays in my mind is not what I learned it’s how I felt going through that thing. ECU's City Campus provides more than education; it builds an environment where students can develop, establish a network and get ready for whatever lies ahead. All you need to understand more about ECU than school. ECU is where learning, self‑reinvention and city life all blend into a robust and supporting environment.
