A day in my life as an international student at ECU City Campus

There’s something special about waking up early, knowing the city is waiting for you. Tuesdays are the day where everything works out – a bit of routine but a bit of free flow, and it's the day where the city and the school combine in a lovely harmony that is just right for me.

My morning starts with a peaceful stroll to the train station here in Carlisle. The air is still cool, and the air has that sense of being held, a quiet before it all gets busy. Hopping on board the train to the city, I savor the short trip. Watching the city emerge slowly through the window is always the same; it never gets old, and I can never resist the awe it holds to be part of such a dynamic environment.

And like any good morning, coffee must be involved. My first stop upon arriving in the city is a cozy little cafe just outside the train station, where I purchase my usual: a coffee that does wonders for waking my brain and energizing me for the rest of my day. Fueled and ready, I head to my campus for my first lecture at 8:30 AM.

In any case, by the time of the lunch break, the advantages of the city study environment kick in. I chill with my friends between classes in the space, and we talk about life and how we handle some assignment stress. For me, these moments capture what being a student is all about and are most valued.

After all, by lunch time, the benefits of a city study environment come into play. Stepping out of class into Perth's CBD opens up a world of choice when it comes to lunch. Whether a quick snack or an enjoyable sit-down with mates, the options seem infinite, and it is never a matter of choice that there is nothing to eat! Eating is more about exploring the experience and the environment around us.

Back to class for the afternoon class that starts at 12:30. I particularly love the technology used in our learning, which makes the classes interesting and interactive, giving them more than just a 'lecture' feel.

Then I go back to the train station as almost dusk. Instead of just heading home, we hang out and tour the city, walk the streets, take in the sights, and just hang out together. ECU City Campus student life is not only about being in class—it is living the city life and making friends and memories between your classes.

I head back to the train station when it is almost time for the sun to go down. The journey home is a quieter one-the kind of quiet where you can unwind after a long day, with a sense of accomplishment. ECU City Campus student life is so much more than just going to classes-it's experiencing the life of the city, forming new friends, and making new memories in between lectures.

My Tuesdays are more than just a schedule-they're an experience that I eagerly await each week.
