(own image)

So you’ve made the decision to create your very own small business, CONGRATULATIONS! 🎉

You have your product/service, your website is ready and you want to show the world what you have created.......theres just one problem, how are you going to get these customers to see what you have created, what you have worked so hard for? Never fear, here is where we come in to give you a few tips on where to begin, we will begin with content marketing

Content marketing, I like to think as one of the most important marketing tools you can use to build your brand.

We know in 2021 that most consumers/people online (which is about 4.66 billion people! 🤯) use the internet to find new and exciting businesses to purchase from, not only that but to then go a step further and research the brand, what are the reviews like? Does this brand reflect my values/morals? Are they a genuine business? etc.

You know your target audience the best, what will you choose as your platforms, will it be facebook? Pinterest? A podcast? 💁🏻‍♀️

Once you’ve decided the best option for your target audience, you then need to create consistent engaging and relevant content to give your brand the best opportunity for success.

1. Social media platforms 📱

Facebook has more than 2.70 billion users which continues to increase (19% on last year) with almost 60% of internet users still on facebook.

If you are wanting more of a visual aspect to your platform, instagram 📸is your go to with 1.16 billion followers logging into the app at least once a day! as well as over 130 million monthly clicks on commercial posts.

Lastly is TikTok 🕰, now I know what your going to say, I’m too old for TikTok, only kids are on it, TikTok has one of the fastest growing downloads then any other app with most people spending almost 52 minutes a day……. A DAY!

2. A blog 💻

Now I know what you're going to say, "Mel your only saying that because you are writing on a blog", my answer is yes but only because it works!

Creating regular blog content will encourage your customers to find out more about you on a genuine level and help them decide that they want to purchase from you.

A blog also is a great tool to take advantage of SEO, the more relevant content you post about your brand, the more relevant customers you will bring in via google, therefore creating repeat customers! It can also increase your website traffic by 30%.

Finally……

3. Start a email newsletter/subscription letter 📃

This is an amazing tool to help customers stay involved with your brand on a personal level and have your brand on their minds regularly.

Send them an update when you have a restock coming up or a sale day, even if they have left something in their cart, the amount of times I have gone back and purchased something after receiving a reminder of something in my cart is more than none.

All of these content marketing tips will help create and increase your customer base and help create the ideal community for your brand, after all this is your creation and you want people to love your products/ service as much as you loving giving, so go ahead- what have you go to loose?

Let me know in the comments below ⬇️ if you have any other tips about content marketing or if you’ve tried any of these tips and they have helped your brand.
