In Perth, we’re lucky to live in a city full of diverse, vibrant communities. But in the middle of busy workdays, family commitments, and life’s challenges, it’s easy to lose sight of something simple yet powerful - connection.
That’s where the Hello Campaign comes in at The Spiers Centre, we believe that saying hello is more than just a greeting—it’s a way to spark conversations, strengthen community ties, and remind people that they’re not alone.

Why Hello Matters in Our Community
For those of us aged 30–50, life is often a juggling act—careers, kids, ageing parents, and financial pressures can leave little time for genuine connection. Sometimes, all it takes is a small moment to shift someone’s day.
Imagine:
Saying hello to a neighbour you usually just wave at.
Greeting another parent at school pick-up and starting a chat.
Checking in with a colleague over coffee instead of rushing back to your desk.
These little gestures build community, create support networks, and can even be the first step in helping someone who is quietly struggling.
The Spiers Centre: A Local Hub for Connection
The Spiers Centre, based in Perth’s northern suburbs, has been part of the community for decades. More than just a service provider, we’re a place where people come together—whether it’s families attending workshops, individuals seeking advice, or volunteers lending a hand.
The Hello Campaign is about extending that sense of community beyond our walls and into everyday Perth life. We want everyone to feel the ripple effect of something as simple as a hello.
How You Can Be Part of It
Say hello today. Start small with a smile and a greeting—it could make someone’s day.
Share your story. Post about your hello moments on social media and tag The Spiers Centre.
Get involved locally. Join our events, volunteer, or simply spread the message in your own community.
Final Thoughts
The “Hello Campaign” shows how digital marketing can be a force for good, not just for selling products but for building stronger, more connected communities. For those aged 30–50, who often juggle busy schedules and social responsibilities, it’s a reminder that one simple word—“hello”—can make a world of difference.
