Augmented Reality in Marketing

Updated: Aug 18, 2022

Consumer wants and wishes are increasingly driving today's marketplaces. These wants varies as technology evolves, and a brand must adapt to these developments. The current developing trend in marketing and sales is Augmented reality (AR) which allows companies to deliver novel experiences to customers while leveraging the ease of their smartphones.

Here are the three AR marketing trends.

1. AR in Retail Industry

AR offers a new approach for apparel, accessory, and cosmetics firms to show buyers how their items will feel when they use or wear them. Virtual fitting rooms have become a reality for customers at companies including American Apparel, Uniqlo, Lacoste, Kohls, and Sephora. Customers may now sample before they buy from the comfort of their own homes.

2. AR Events

Career fairs and sporting events, for example, can benefit tremendously from the use of augmented reality. This may be accomplished using specialised applications. Attendees at augmented reality events can have a one-of-a-kind experience as well to participate despite limitations like as quarantine.

3. Augment Branding Materials

By including a digital element, augmented reality may elevate advertising items such as business cards and brochures into new heights. Consumers may use their smart phones to read printed items to get a variety of features that provide more data and methods to contact the business.
